Buxtehuder SV takes third place with victory against Thuringian HC
The women’s handball team from Buxtehuder SV have finished the season in third place in the Bundesliga. In the catch-up match on Tuesday against the direct pursuer Thüringer HC, the team of coach Dirk Leun won with 35:32 (14:14) and thus secured participation in the European Cup. The BSV could also have afforded a high defeat in order to leave the then equal-point THC behind.
The Buxtehude women had problems finding their way into the game and were already 2: 5 behind after just under ten minutes. However, a break from Leun had an effect. His team took the lead after a 4-0 run. In the second round, BSV pulled away to 27:21 by the 45th minute and did not let the victory in the last game of the season take away.
