Bangkok, Thailand, 4 Oct 2021, ZEXPRWIRE, The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, Thailand kicked off the THAIFEX – Virtual Trade Show (THAIFEX-VTS) via www.thaifex-vts.com, highlighting its potential as the platform of future. It offers both the format and functions that meet the buyers’ and sellers’ demands. The Platform is also destined to enhance Business Matching potentials and elevate Thailand to become the center of the world-class Food & Beverage Trade Show. The THAIFEX – VTS which features Virtual – Online Business Matching (OBM) between global buyers and Thai exhibitors, is taking place from 29 September – 3 October and welcoming 1,433 online registrants who are buyers/ importers from 99 countries and 368 Thai business operator/export companies.
Mr. Jurin Laksanawisit, Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce stated that the THAIFEX-VTS serves as a key enabler for Thai food and beverage business operators to successfully match with their target buyers and as the online platform of the future that can unlock the full potential for Business Matching. This VTS also helps create a myriad of trade opportunities for Thai business operators affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic.
“The virtual trade show like this is the rising trend of the new phase of trade show in the post-pandemic or after the COVID-19 has subsided. Besides, the THAIFEX-VTS has manifested that Thailand has emerged as the center of the world-class food and beverage trade fair,” revealed Mr. Jurin.
For this year THAIFEX-VTS, DITP has extended the format and functions of the platform www.thaifex-vts.com to become modern and user-friendly, offering a variety of interesting services that are responsive to the demands of both buyers and sellers. The THAIFEX-VTS platform is compatible with multiple devices from PC, laptops, tablets to mobile phones. Meanwhile, the business matching can accommodate more than 4 participants in one room, allowing interpreters, decision-makers, and others to join. The platform also features a web board that serves as Buy/Sell Bulletin and provides exhibitors’ contact information as well as a system that can recommend a product/company profile for users based on their choices at the registration.
Apart from the main event of the Virtual – Online Business Matching (V-OBM), this year THAIFEX – VTS offers a wide range of activities such as the product showcase designed in the theme of City of Food Products, divided into zones for different key product categories. With Virtual Tour technology, participants can enjoy the virtual exhibition booths of 368 exhibitors that offer 360-degree product views, along with product lists, key information, leaflets, and video clips, as if they were visiting the physical exhibition throughout 24 hours. This platform allows participants to view Live streaming events through the Food Amphitheatre, while also facilitating exhibitors to live-broadcast their product launches and activities. The online registrants can connect with Thai exhibitors to find out more about the products or make appointments for an online business matching through video calls during the event days or send messages via 24-hour live Chat.
“As the COVID-19 pandemic is starting to ease across many countries, the demand for food products in the global market tends to increase substantially. With the high quality of products and preventive measures in place throughout the manufacturing process of food exports to ensure the COVID-19 safety and retain trust among buyers and importers, Thai food would certainly be in high demand in the global market. We are, therefore, confident that this THAIFEX-VTS will bring tremendous success to the Thai food industry and further stimulate its continuous growth. It is speculated that the THAIFEX-VTS alone would generate 830 million-baht trade value as targeted,” affirmed Mr. Jurin.
