Meet the Chiropractor ‘Making Adjustments’ to her own Industry

Eustis, Florida, 15th Dec 2021, ZEXPRWIRE, Dr. Kimberly Besuden has been a practicing chiropractor for well over 25 years. Based out of Winter Parks in sunny Florida, Dr B as she’s popularly known, has been renowned for ‘fixing’ her patients’ issues with a more holistic approach that also focuses on diet, mindset and overall well being.

But it wasn’t until attending a national chiropractors convention a few years ago, that she made a startling realization- Many of her fellow chiropractors were surprisingly stressed and overworked and far from a model of health.

This led her to researching and discovering some startling facts.

The US chiropractic services industry is valued at over $15 billion dollars, with over 70,000 chiropractors treating more than 35 million Americans annually. And with between 80 to 90% of the population challenged with back and neck pain every year, the demand for these professionals is ever increasing.

However, Dr. B also discovered the other side of this industry that not too many speak about. One can expect to spend up to $120,000 for a chiropractic degree. The average chiropractic program requires at least 90 hours of previous undergraduate work to be accepted, and that’s before you even start the Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program, which requires another 4,200 hours of classroom, lab, and clinical training.

This leads to the average chiropractic graduate to be in a position where they are hungry to pay off their educational debt as soon as possible.

“But in a profession as physically involved as this, chiropractors spend hours, days and weeks bent over, treating their patients, sometimes with little to no breaks in between and very little scope to focus on other aspects such as mindset, a healthy diet or even business development” said Dr. Besuden.

This was when she decided to transition away from practicing as a chiropractor herself and focus on serving the industry that gave her so much, by becoming a Chiropractic Practice Coach.

Today, Dr. Besuden coaches chiropractors from all over the country so that they can enjoy true success in mind, body & business. How?

In her own words: “I help them identify their own challenges and address them systematically, all the while incorporating processes to eliminate needless repetition in business. We also look at all the other aspects of their life and bring in a routine that creates more balance and harmony. Very soon, my clients start transforming into healthier & wealthier versions of themselves!”

Coming off a speaking tour and writing her first E-Book: The Chiropractor’s Dilemma, we asked Dr. Besuden what could any new and motivated chiropractor do to ensure they are able to sustain a long and fruitful chiropractic career. She said “I would tell them what I tell all my clients- Seek to create well being in 4 areas- Financial, Physical, Emotional & Personal.

Financial: Work towards owning your own practice. Create multiple streams of income. Get out of the time-for-money trap.

Physical wellbeing: Your body is your greatest asset. Look after it. Make time to exercise daily and eat healthy. Supplement adequately and learn to relax!

Emotional: Stress will always be there but we must have daily routines to overcome it. Learn to meditate, practice yoga and remember to never take anything too personally.

Personal: A happy and healthy work-life balance is key. Find your ‘me time’ to engage with all that interests you other than work, especially your loved ones.
