Veneto Wood Fired Pizza Sues Cuomo

Rochester, NY, December 30, 2020, ZEXPRWIRE,  – On December 17, 2020 DSV Properties, LLC dba Veneto Gourmet Pizza & Pasta signed the paperwork with Hogan Willig in Buffalo to join the lawsuit of restaurants suing the governor and other officials restricting our rights to operate our businesses.

“The governor’s actions are preventing me and my employees from earning a living and forced me to lay off the majority of my staff at the holidays. We don’t want a hand out, we want to be open for dine in to serve our customers.” said Donald Swartz, owner of Veneto on East Avenue.

Approximately 40 bars and restaurants were listed on the suit that was filed in Buffalo on December 24th. The state has until Monday to negotiate a compromise to allow bars and restaurants in micro cluster zones to reopen to indoor diners or provide scientific proof of why they must stay closed.

Recent statistics presented by the governor himself have only proved a 1.4% infection rate in bars & restaurants, while the majority of infection is from households and unregulated gatherings.

According to Swartz, “Micro cluster zones, like we have in Monroe County, are unfair because people who want to dine out, will just go down the street.”
