Brabus unbuttons the Porsche 911

Bottrop (dpa / tmn) – Brabus is positioning itself more broadly and is now also taking Porsche into the tuning program: As the company from Bottrop, which has been known so far for particularly potent Mercedes models, announced, bodybuilding begins with the 911 Turbo S.

Two-stage engine removal

The heart of the conversion is a two-stage tuning package for the 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine, which in the original comes to 478 kW / 650 hp and 800 Nm. In the first expansion stage, a new chip delivers 52 kW / 70 hp and 100 Nm more. In the second, a new turbocharger is also added. So at the end there are 603 kW / 820 hp and 950 Nm in the data sheet. With this, the Brabus-Porsche manages the sprint from standstill to speed in 2.5 seconds and with a maximum of 340 km / h is around 10 km / h faster than the production counterpart.

The prices for the pure engine tuning start at around 30 000 euros. For the complete package with a refined interior, new body parts made of carbon as well as special wheels and tires on a revised chassis, you can climb up to 140,000 euros. In addition, there is also the basic vehicle, which is on the list as a 911 coupé with 227 256 and as a convertible with 240 822 euros.

An eye on e-mobility too

The Bottropers are also turning to Generation E: Brabus is offering an upgrade of the electric Taycan for them in the future. However, the batteries and drive remain unchanged in the four-door sports car, and Brabus is limited to the body design, wheels and interior, the manufacturer continues.
